Chairs and tables for banqueting.

Cheltenham

The defacto standard for banqueting chair in the marquee hire game has been the Cheltenham which is an attractive wooden chair often sprayed gold, silver and white. They stack well (up to 10 high) They were originally produced in Europe, however most of the cheaper chairs are made in China. The typical cost of a cheap imported chair would be between £20 and £30 or for a quality chair up to £60.

Camelot or Chivari Chairs

Chairs are similar however thay have a knobbly spindle backs. Expect to pay around £5 per chair more than the Cheltenham.

Metal Framed Banqueting chairs

These are the back bone of the hotel conference chair. They are starting to look dated however they are cheap to buy,are strong and last and last. The frames are normally made out of box section steel (which is heavy) or aluminium. A cheap steel chair will cost between £15 and £20 where as a quality steel chair will cost over £25. Aluminium chairs cost between £25 and £50 each.

Samsonite (or McCorts) folding chair.

A fantactic performer. I've personally managed to get 80 of these chairs in a Ford Mondeo (by removing the back seats.) They will stack up to 50 high (100 on a wheeled pallet) The down side is they look a little basic and they will look tatty quite quickly.

Resin Bistro chairs

These chairs will stack up to 25 high and are cheap as chips. I've payed as low as £3.50 per chair. You can use them for weddings and parties as well as outside. Great value for money. I could get 1200 in a 7.5T lorry.
